This is how the plumbing competition works. You purchase a new water heater and are quoted $200 to have it installed. When the plumber installs your new water heater, he hands you a bill for $650. He explains the $200 quote you received didn’t cover getting the water heater up to code, including a new water heater pan, the water connectors, the valves for the water heater, new vent piping, the expansion tank, etc. At N’Awlins Plumbing, we provide an all-inclusive and comprehensive quote upfront. Upon completion of services, your bill may be lower, but never higher than the original quote. For example, you may not need new vent piping, in which case, that would be deducted from the original quote.
